Preserving the Hands That Built Hoshiarpur Ivory Inlay
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Inlay is not simply a craft for us; it is a family legacy, a skill passed from one generation to another.”
My family has been associated with the traditional art of wooden inlay for generations. Over the years, I saw highly skilled artisans, many of them over 60 years of age, carrying decades of knowledge and craftsmanship in their hands. I also realised that if this knowledge was not passed on to younger generations, an important part of Hoshiarpur’s cultural heritage could gradually disappear.
In 2019, I started the Hoshiarpur Wooden Inlay Cluster with a simple purpose — to preserve the knowledge of experienced artisans and create a pathway for the next generation to learn from them.
To turn this vision into a sustainable system, we formed a society of nine members. Together, the society worked towards bringing different skilled craftsmen onto one platform, creating a collective where artisans could produce, showcase and sell their work through a common marketplace.
Today, the products are created collectively by the society, while pricing is also decided by its members, with the aim of keeping authentic handcrafted products as accessible and affordable as possible without compromising the value of the craftsmanship.
Our work serves both B2C and B2B customers, from individuals looking for handcrafted pieces for their homes to businesses, institutions, interior designers and organisations seeking larger or customised requirements.
With support from the Government, the cluster has also been able to participate in exhibitions and access opportunities to showcase and sell our craftsmanship through government-supported channels. Our products have also reached customers through platforms such as Amazon and GeM, alongside our offline store.
But for us, this journey is about more than selling products.
It is about preserving knowledge, respecting our master artisans, creating opportunities for younger craftsmen and ensuring that Hoshiarpur Ivory Inlay continues to have a future.

What is your return policy?
We accept eligible return requests within 10 days of delivery. Products must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, with all tags and accessories intact. For any product received damaged or defective, an unboxing video is compulsory for us to verify the condition at the time of delivery. Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving the order with your order details and the required video/photos. Customised or personalised products may not be eligible for return unless they arrive damaged or defective.
